To host a forum that brings together leaders from across the seafood industry to discuss and address the global challenges affecting responsible production, marketing and consumption of quality seafood. Our inspiring and thought-provoking environment is designed to facilitate idea sharing that ultimately helps achieve our foundation’s core goals.
To improve the living conditions of struggling seafood communities around the world by utilizing our industry’s powerful resources to educate producers on responsible practices so they can support themselves and improve their lives through sustainable small-scale fishing and aquaculture.
The Napa Seafood Foundation (NSF) strives to help the global seafood industry safely navigate the ever-changing conditions that affect responsible seafood production, marketing and consumption.
We promote positive innovation and progressive values that create better resources, stronger economics, and improved health and living conditions for the world’s seafood producers and consumers.
The Napa Seafood Foundation is our non-profit vehicle, created to improve the living conditions of less advantaged communities by utilizing the seafood industry’s resources, and employing the values espoused by the Napa Seafood Summit. The Foundation’s aim is not to dispense charity, but instead to teach people how to support themselves and improve their lives through small-scale fishing and aquaculture. We are inspired by Maimonides’ famous quote “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day…..Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a life time”
